George Wise died suddenly at Fillmore at 6 o’clock Thursday morning. His death was the result of a paralytic stroke which occurred the evening before while he was in the field shocking corn. A neighbor, seeing his struggles went to Mr. Wise and assisted him to the house. He was conscious during a greater part of the night but fell into a comatose condition shortly before death. Mr. Wise was about 66 years of age.
